In light of recent rulings by the FTC, I wanted to expand on my disclosure statement a bit. The legalese of the statement prepared on March 14 can be a bit confusing, so I included these paragraphs as written by me, in my voice, and my words.
If I have received products and/or compensation for any post, that post is labeled "sponsored" in the label section. I also include a statement within each sponsored post that informs readers if I received products for the post. I have always disclosed this information, from the first sponsored post I wrote.
I also review items that I have purchased with my own money, and have not been in contact with the PR firm or manufacturer. These posts do NOT include a sponsored label, but if I purchased them from Amazon.com, the link may be an affiliate link from which I earn a small percentage of sales resulting from readers following that link.
In addition, there may be Amazon affiliate links included in my sponsored posts. As of this date, I have no additional affiliate relationships.
I may have paid advertising links in my sidebars.
This policy is valid from 14 March 2009
